Spectators: 8509 (Terracing: 6382, Seating: 1957, VIP seats: 170) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mitch Van De Wyngaert got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute Gwen Wegers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Ondino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pastor Sagrario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laurence Luyten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. A collision led to Beek City getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Sam-Lucas Van Achteren hit a great ball. Beek City's Mitch Van De Wyngaert got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Elite Azulgrana's Dionisio Ondino got control of the ball when Gwen Wegers tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Beek City booed when Elite Azulgrana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Jayvier didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Elite Azulgrana's Pastor Sagrario sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laurence Luyten narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Beek City's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Matos came free, but Laurence Luyten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 minutes Beek City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mauro Matos who took care of the corner kick. The audience was convinced that Pastor Sagrario's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laurence Luyten was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Mauro Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, Beek City's Gwen Wegers dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Elite Azulgrana's Dionisio Ondino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Elite Azulgrana from getting a goal against them. Cristian Clementi hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Gwen Wegers struck a weak shot in the 49th minute. Dionisio Ondino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beek City. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pastor Sagrario to make the kick off. In the 59th minute Gwen Wegers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Ondino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Aureliano Loramendi came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Elite Azulgrana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliano Loramendi couldn't finish the play. Dionisio Ondino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mitch Van De Wyngaert in the 63rd minute of the match. Dionisio Ondino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwen Wegers, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. With his leg Laurence Luyten managed to avoid a goal in the 97thth minute, when Elite Azulgrana's Mauro Matos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Beek City fans cheered their team off the field, for while Elite Azulgrana had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
