Seating: 1938, VIP seats: 168) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Modesto Mikolas started the match with the kick off. The supporters of ITAFUT 4EVER booed when Arrecifes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Fonda didn't get a good kick on the ball. ITAFUT 4EVER's Emerson Leão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save ITAFUT 4EVER from getting a goal against them. Estevez Palmeira struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Marcos Fraco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ITAFUT 4EVER. After a defensive mix-up in ITAFUT 4EVER's zone, Modesto Mikolas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emerson Leão came out of the goal and Modesto Mikolas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alejandro Fonda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Modesto Mikolas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Emerson Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, ITAFUT 4EVER's Orlando Mineiro got a free kick in the 41st minute. 43 minutes into the game, Sidney Lima threw the ball into play from the sideline. Arrecifes's Nicolas Geleberto quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Beto Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. A hard shot 47 in the game by Modesto Mikolas from a close distance when the talented Emerson Leão managed to make a qualified save. ITAFUT 4EVER's players were relieved. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Orlando Mineiro to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes ITAFUT 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Sidney Lima. Emerson Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Mikolas in the 54th minute of play. Sidney Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sidney Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, ITAFUT 4EVER's Estevez Palmeira got a free kick in the 61st minute. Arrecifes's Froilan Cutberto was substituted for Modesto Mikolas. After 63 played minutes ITAFUT 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Estevez Palmeira. ITAFUT 4EVER's Edgar Baiano was substituted for Beto Aparecido. After a rather tough play, Arrecifes's Romulo Deunoro got a free kick in the 74th minute. 75 minutes into the game, Nicolas Geleberto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arrecifes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ITAFUT 4EVER the free kick. The referee ignored Arrecifes's protests and gave Abel Egoitz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Arrecifes getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Abel Egoitz hit a great ball. With a little luck, Arrecifes's Marcos Fraco got control of the ball when José Augusto Novaes tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Baiano in the 80th minute of play forced Arrecifes's goalkeeper Marcos Fraco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's goalkeeper Marcos Fraco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Augusto Novaes.
