The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arrecifes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Romando Futebol Clube the free kick. Lucio Hever kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Alexandre Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Fraco having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Abel Egoitz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ademar Campidelis. Romando Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abel Egoitz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 91 minutes into the game, Froilan Cutberto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Ademar Campidelis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Many of Romando Futebol Clube's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Romando Futebol Clube may have spent more time on the ball, but Arrecifes were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
