Dráusio Varela hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Romando Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Mikolas came free, but Ademar Campidelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucio Hever's late challenge caught a Romando Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucio Hever helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Lucio Hever hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Alexandre Luz made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizinho Santos in the 52nd minute of play forced Arrecifes's goalkeeper Marcos Fraco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Adriano Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The coaching staff of Arrecifes protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lucio Hever had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a defensive mix-up in Arrecifes's zone, Vladimir Alvarenga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. That made the score 0-4 after 87 minutes of play. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Romando Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dalmacio Honrio was slow to take the kick. During this time Arrecifes's players had a chance to rest. Dalmacio Honrio made a great header on Arrecifes's corner, it was just that Romando Futebol Clube's Ademar Campidelis managed to reach the ball for a save.
