Spectators: 8465 (Terracing: 6350, Seating: 1946, VIP seats: 169) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eduardo Sancho kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, Eduardo Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Valdo Catarinense. The goal made the score 1-0. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Pergamino's Gaudencio Matro got a free kick in the 7th minute. Júlio Eger scored 1-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Bela, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 14 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Agostinho Pombal. Marcos Bela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leopoldo Trancoso went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After 20 played minutes Deportivo Pergamino got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Matro. In the 23rd match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Couto to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Sancho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Valdo Catarinense. SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marcos Bela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After some careless play in the Deportivo Pergamino defense, Alberto Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Bela. The Deportivo Pergamino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Bela should have stopped the shot. Eduardo Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Valdo Catarinense made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júlio Eger to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Reinaldo Marquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SORRISO E. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Pergamino the free kick. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Reinaldo Marquez hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Penha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SORRISO E. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Pergamino the free kick. In the 61st minute, Rodrigo Penha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Leopoldo Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deportivo Pergamino made a substitution. Primitivo Vitin replaced Cristobal Tipi. Primitivo Vitin charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Primitivo Vitin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 69 played minutes Deportivo Pergamino got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Vitin. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Sancho in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdo Catarinense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodrigo Penha was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Rodrigo Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Rodrigo Penha hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Sancho in the 77th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Valdo Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduardo Sancho in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdo Catarinense saved SORRISO E. C. from getting behind. Marcos Bela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Silvestre Argoitz hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After 92 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Couto. The SORRISO E. C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SORRISO E. C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
