Júnior Mattos tried in the 15th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Rodriguinho de Queirós a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-0. 19 minutes into the game, Acácio Ortiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Imbituba - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Acercate Y Patea de Lejos the free kick. A collision led to Imbituba - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Acácio Ortiz hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Imbituba - FSCMZ's zone, Lázaro Llope stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodriguinho de Queirós came out of the goal and Lázaro Llope tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victor Matxin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acácio Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Virgilio Rubio hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Acácio Ortiz in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Matxin saved Acercate Y Patea de Lejos from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Linares in the 32nd minute of play forced Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's goalkeeper Victor Matxin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Lázaro Llope got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Bernardino Baumar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Cristóvão Linares made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diguinho Magalhães in the 63rd minute of play forced Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's goalkeeper Victor Matxin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marciano Bertran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Rodriguinho de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Victor Matxin got control of the ball when Acácio Ortiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Acácio Ortiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Victor Matxin made a huge save. Victor Matxin was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Acácio Ortiz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Acácio Ortiz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Rodriguinho de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Baumar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Diguinho Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th match minute, Imbituba - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuca Camargo to maneuver through the defense. Guillermo Emenon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodriguinho de Queirós having to make a save. The Imbituba - FSCMZ players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Acercate Y Patea de Lejos from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
