A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 10th minute, Desiderio Figueroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, Sportivo Luan Toro's goal looked a bit too open when Wilson Vidal came free, but Gabriel Arias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muhammad Ali in the 21st minute of play. Mauro de Salles made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Muhammad Ali sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute, Muhammad Ali made a precise shot to the right of Mauro de Salles. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 39th minute, Omar Catalán had to leave the field with a concussion. When Dudu Queiroz fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nova Iguaçu MZFC's protests and gave Dudu Queiroz a yellow card for diving instead. Sportivo Luan Toro made a substitution. Joaquin Mingo replaced Omar Catalán. Dudu Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Paulo Renato Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dudu Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Arias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Renato Souza in the 71st minute. Lino Gerazan hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th match minute, Sportivo Luan Toro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Gerazan to maneuver through the defense. Wilson Vidal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Gerazan came free, but Mauro de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Jailson de Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Muhammad Ali ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauro de Salles was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After 91 played minutes Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Cesinha Cruz. Sportivo Luan Toro's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
