After 24 played minutes Imbituba - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by William Breckenfeld. After a defensive mix-up in Imbituba - FSCMZ's zone, Pelle Rudqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodriguinho de Queirós came out of the goal and Pelle Rudqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, Vinícius Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Kullgren during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aaron Kullgren kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. If Pelle Rudqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pelle Rudqvist in the 34th minute of play forced Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Rodriguinho de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xentrias's Gunnar Jakobsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Linares in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Xentrias's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Olívio Castro was slow to take the kick. During this time Imbituba - FSCMZ's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Olívio Castro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Xentrias's Gunnar Jakobsson did a great save. In the 40th match minute, Imbituba - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fiori Barreto to maneuver through the defense. Pelle Rudqvist struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Rodriguinho de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xentrias. Rodriguinho de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pelle Rudqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristóvão Linares was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Pelle Rudqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodriguinho de Queirós. Imbituba - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pelle Rudqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a little luck, Xentrias's Gunnar Jakobsson got control of the ball when Acácio Ortiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Júnior Mattos hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Imbituba - FSCMZ's zone, Pelle Rudqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
