In the 3rd minute, Memphis Grizzlies's José Luis Cuciuffo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 7th match minute, -BZF- Barca de Buzau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduard Nechifor to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, José Luis Cuciuffo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horaţiu Nițoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Gez Winship took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Vochin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gez Winship stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iulian Taşcu's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Panait Vochin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Memphis Grizzlies. Gez Winship took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Vochin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th match minute, Memphis Grizzlies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Johnson to maneuver through the defense. Panait Vochin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gez Winship. Memphis Grizzlies's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gez Winship showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panait Vochin in the 28th minute of the match. Franky Van Der Elst hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute of the match Valeriu Băcioiu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gez Winship showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Taşcu in the 31st minute of play forced Memphis Grizzlies's goalkeeper Gez Winship to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gez Winship stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iulian Taşcu's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franky Van Der Elst to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Panait Vochin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panait Vochin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horaţiu Nițoi came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Memphis Grizzlies's José Luis Cuciuffo. But to his dismay, José Luis Cuciuffo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Horaţiu Nițoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franky Van Der Elst in the 70th minute of play. Sebastian Purje received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gez Winship tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Memphis Grizzlies made a substitution. Franz Henry replaced José Luis Cuciuffo. Memphis Grizzlies's Peter Wiltshire was substituted for Franky Van Der Elst. After 76 played minutes Memphis Grizzlies got a freekick which was hit by Peter Wiltshire. Gez Winship made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Purje in the 79th minute of play. Ovidiu Pătrașcu hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Peter Wiltshire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Memphis Grizzlies's Gez Winship proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Memphis Grizzlies from getting a goal against them. Peter Wiltshire scored 4-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Horaţiu Nițoi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dave Fleming hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Memphis Grizzlies fans cheered their team off the field, for while -BZF- Barca de Buzau had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
