The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eugenio Molina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gus Weir in the 4th minute of play. Comunardo Prandini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Loco Faso in the 6th minute. A collision led to Real Chelsea getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Herbert Blomkvist hit a great ball. Sixto Gomez, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Ramirez in the 27th minute of play forced Real Chelsea's goalkeeper Comunardo Prandini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugenio Molina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timothy Thorne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Chelsea's goalkeeper Comunardo Prandini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Timothy Thorne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugenio Molina was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 87th minute, Inocencio Columbo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Real Chelsea defense, Miguel Ramirez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Comunardo Prandini. The Real Chelsea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Comunardo Prandini should have stopped the shot. The supporters of LACELESTEYBLANCA booed when Real Chelsea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kelvin Oldham didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
