In the 33rd minute Allan Laguna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Prandini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gus Weirs short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Gu Yuan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of Real Chelsea booed when Creer Para Ver was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silverio Lander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gu Yuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gus Weir in the 69th minute of play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Creer Para Ver defense, Timothy Thorne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gu Yuan. The Creer Para Ver fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gu Yuan should have stopped the shot. Real Chelsea's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
