Sérgio Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagoberto Neila in the 20th minute of the match. Dagoberto Neila who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Sérgio Trevisan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dagoberto Neila got free with Sérgio Trevisan in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Cambridge Esporte Clube's Sérgio Trevisan got control of the ball when Dagoberto Neila tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s zone, Zé Carlos Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Estavan came out of the goal and Zé Carlos Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Omar Orlan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sérgio Trevisan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Marcial Estavan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Carlos Machado's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After having played for 36 minutes, Omar Orlan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Omar Orlan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé Carlos Machado hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Dagoberto Neila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Sérgio Trevisan made a huge save. After 45 played minutes, Cambridge Esporte Clube's Emilian Şneapotă shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcial Estavan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cambridge Esporte Clube reached it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Sérgio Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto Neila in the 51st minute of play. Sérgio Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herminio Iratze in the 52nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dagoberto Neila in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sérgio Trevisan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The INDEPENDIENTE F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Dagoberto Neila looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 57th minute, Dagoberto Neila left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The INDEPENDIENTE F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Neila in the 61st minute of play forced Cambridge Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Sérgio Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Cambridge Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Kléber Rodrigues hit a great ball. In the 70th minute of the match Omar Orlan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sérgio Trevisan skillfully saved the ball. Sérgio Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herminio Iratze in the 72nd minute of the match. Sérgio Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto Neila in the 75th minute of play. In the 76thth minute of the game Omar Orlan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cambridge Esporte Clube's Sérgio Trevisan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Cambridge Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Orlan came free, but Sérgio Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sérgio Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto Neila in the 82nd minute of play. Marcial Estavan made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Zé Carlos Machado sent off a good shot on target. Marcial Estavan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elivélton Aparecido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ignacio Warnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88thth minute of the game Herminio Iratze who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cambridge Esporte Clube's Sérgio Trevisan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sérgio Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dagoberto Neila, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Dagoberto Neila blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sérgio Trevisan having to make a save. In the 92nd minute, one of Cambridge Esporte Clube:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cambridge Esporte Clube. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Neila in the 96th minute of play forced Cambridge Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Sérgio Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. INDEPENDIENTE F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
