Spectators: 7504 (Terracing: 5629, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Franky Ooms started the match with the kick off. The supporters of INDEPENDIENTE F.C. booed when Buffalo Timişoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorin Oravițan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 minutes of play, INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Dagoberto Neila made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hunor Csapó was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 14th minute Valentin Voicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Estavan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brent-Jan Koninckx didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 played minutes, INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Omar Orlan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hunor Csapó came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in INDEPENDIENTE F.C. reached it. 18 minutes into the match, Buffalo Timişoara's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Neila came free, but Hunor Csapó reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hunor Csapó took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Neila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hunor Csapó showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagoberto Neila in the 21st minute of the match. In the 24th minute Herminio Iratze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hunor Csapó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hunor Csapó stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dagoberto Neila's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Yngve Möller kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After having played for 31 minutes, Orhan Ortanca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buffalo Timişoara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orhan Ortanca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcial Estavan came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Buffalo Timişoara's Adrian Zbora. But to his dismay, Adrian Zbora quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Adrian Zbora recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience was convinced that Franky Ooms's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcial Estavan was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. After 52 minutes, Franky Ooms made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Marcial Estavan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 55 minutes into the game, Dagoberto Neila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Hunor Csapó was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 61 minutes into the match, Valentin Voicu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcial Estavan. INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valentin Voicu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Hunor Csapó showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dagoberto Neila, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Omar Orlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Buffalo Timişoara's Magno Dantas was substituted for Dorin Oravițan. Dagoberto Neila who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Hunor Csapó when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Buffalo Timişoara's Kiko Pirani was substituted for Valentin Voicu. In the 72nd minute INDEPENDIENTE F.C. were awarded a corner. Omar Orlan went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Meng Qiang Liang getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 74th minute Omar Orlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hunor Csapó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcial Estavan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Franky Ooms's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. 81 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Kiko Pirani came free, but Marcial Estavan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Adrian Zbora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcial Estavan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Zbora in the 91st minute of the match. In the 95th minute Franky Ooms shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Estavan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
