Clóvis Soeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clóvis Soeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th minute, Clóvis Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Okanay Mutluer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Egemen Gencalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Mustafa İzzet Rasih got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 34 played minutes Rakı Sevenler FC got a freekick which was hit by Stavros Stamatakos. Egemen Gencalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Okanay Mutluer in the 37th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Rakı Sevenler FC's goal looked a bit too open when Muharrem Cihansah came free, but Egemen Gencalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Rıfkı Pekant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Çelikan Safi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 52nd minute, but Egemen Gencalp got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Rakı Sevenler FC hanging dry this time.
