The audience thought a goal was coming when Vitaliy Fedchenko got free with Godfredo Obano in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes in the game, Baumar Ontanilla dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervasio Chorache in the 20th minute of play forced FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goalkeeper Serbülent Baysan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godfredo Obano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Peake in the 22nd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Maximino Astudillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Godfredo Obano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 26th minute FC Anderlecht Huachipato were awarded a corner. Hernán Diaz went to the cornerflag to take it. Hernán Diaz made a great header on FC Anderlecht Huachipato's corner, it was just that SSSSSSSSSSS's Godfredo Obano managed to reach the ball for a save. Yağız Sidal kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Vitaliy Fedchenko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Godfredo Obano made a huge save. With an all-out effort, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Godfredo Obano threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maximino Astudillo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 34 minutes into the match, SSSSSSSSSSS's goalkeeper Godfredo Obano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximino Astudillo. Victorino Peakes short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Godfredo Obano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victorino Peake stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Serbülent Baysan made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Gervasio Chorache sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Astudillo in the 61st minute of play forced SSSSSSSSSSS's goalkeeper Godfredo Obano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd match minute, SSSSSSSSSSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charilaos Mitsibonas to maneuver through the defense. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Eufemio Ehijo was substituted for Vitaliy Fedchenko. SSSSSSSSSSS's Geoffrey Verhelst was substituted for Hugo Maia. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Alexandrino Gameiro was substituted for Baumar Ontanilla. Serbülent Baysan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frits Pandiangan in the 72nd minute of the match. Serbülent Baysan came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by SSSSSSSSSSS's Feliciano Itzaina. But to his dismay, Feliciano Itzaina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Serbülent Baysan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliciano Itzaina in the 77th minute of the match. After some careless play in the SSSSSSSSSSS defense, Felix Txilar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Godfredo Obano. The SSSSSSSSSSS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Godfredo Obano should have stopped the shot. 86 minutes into the match, Frits Pandiangan notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Serbülent Baysan. Serbülent Baysan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The corner led to SSSSSSSSSSS's Geoffrey Verhelst getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 93rd minute Feliciano Itzaina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serbülent Baysan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SSSSSSSSSSS booed when FC Anderlecht Huachipato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eufemio Ehijo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Itzaina in the 95th minute of play forced FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goalkeeper Serbülent Baysan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
