An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Emilijano Kitanovski got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Perrando Martínez Lamas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Cachero in the 15th minute of the match. Perrando Martínez Lamas came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Vitaliy Fedchenko. But to his dismay, Vitaliy Fedchenko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 19 minutes into the match, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Oliverio came free, but Serbülent Baysan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Stojan Krhan fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Anderlecht Huachipato's protests and gave Stojan Krhan a yellow card for diving instead. Mei Zhi Jian shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal.
