Per Nørbjerg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Maksymilian Prusinowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Per Nørbjerg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hønning's supporters rose to their feet, but Per Nørbjerg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maksymilian Prusinowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Prosper Vandamme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dirch Glerum was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 16thth minute of the game Prosper Vandamme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hønning's Dirch Glerum was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 26th minute Çağan Serol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirch Glerum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dirch Glerum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zenon Hetman in the 28th minute of play. Dirch Glerum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prosper Vandamme in the 30th minute of the match. Çağan Serol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Dirch Glerum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 played minutes Hønning got a freekick which was hit by Laurids Hvenekilde. 46 minutes into the match, Çağan Serol notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Hønning's Dirch Glerum. Dirch Glerum was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. John-Arne Riise was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Çağan Serol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirch Glerum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hønning's Dirch Glerum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prosper Vandamme in the 57th minute of play. Dirch Glerum made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zdzislaw Biraga in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Fillip Knutstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes in the game, Zenon Hetman dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 1909 Tarnovia made a substitution. Jakub Gondela replaced Zdzislaw Biraga. In the 76th minute, Jakub Gondela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dirch Glerum was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 82nd match minute, Hønning was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benne Reijnders to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Per Nørbjerg in the 84th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by 1909 Tarnovia's Ludomir Werra. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Prosper Vandamme sped through Hønning's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dirch Glerum. 1909 Tarnovia's Alexandru Căliman was substituted for Prosper Vandamme. When the match was over 1909 Tarnovia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hønning throughout the match.
