An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Neron in the 22nd minute of play forced Palmeiras's goalkeeper Régis de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palmeiras's Régis de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Neron in the 30th minute of play. After 32 minutes Palmeiras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andres Isadore who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Andres Isadore got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Régis de Queirós quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Régis de Queirós made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Omar Bidun sent off a good shot on target. José Carlos Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Balendin having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, BAC Belgrano de Cba's goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos Simões came free, but Anier Balendin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Palmeiras's Bernt Jønsson was substituted for José Carlos Simões. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Omar Bidun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, BAC Belgrano de Cba's Anier Balendin got control of the ball when Iustin Bungeanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 58 minutes of play, Palmeiras's Iustin Bungeanu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anier Balendin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anier Balendin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernt Jønsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Anier Balendin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Jønsson in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernt Jønsson in the 69th minute of play forced BAC Belgrano de Cba's goalkeeper Anier Balendin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the game, Palmeiras's Luke Clist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anier Balendin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Virgilio Ariando's late challenge caught a Palmeiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Virgilio Ariando helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 73 minutes, Iustin Bungeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmeiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iustin Bungeanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernt Jønsson in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anier Balendin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernt Jønsson in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anier Balendin saved BAC Belgrano de Cba from getting behind. Iustin Bungeanu had several of the BAC Belgrano de Cba's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 86 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Anier Balendin as he didn't even see the shot coming. Régis de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Ariando, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute, Palmeiras's Bernt Jønsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Omar Bidun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Palmeiras had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
