The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Linghed Angels FC's Robert Melin got a free kick in the 13th minute. Linghed Angels FC's David Seaman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remzi Oruz in the 16th minute of play. If Remzi Oruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With an all-out effort, Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's David Seaman threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Remzi Oruz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 21 minutes into the match, Linghed Angels FC's goal looked a bit too open when Remzi Oruz came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kim-André van der Schans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fu Ling in the 22nd minute of play. Kim-André van der Schans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fu Ling went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 35th minute, Robert Melin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Melin came free, but Kim-André van der Schans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 minutes of play, Linghed Angels FC's Fu Ling made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kim-André van der Schans was left in no man's land by his defense there! Remzi Oruz's late challenge caught a Linghed Angels FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remzi Oruz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Remzi Oruz hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's Remzi Oruz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of David Seaman. That made the score 1-3 after 45 minutes of play. After the first half Linghed Angels FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remzi Oruz to make the kick off. Jörgen Magnussons short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Kim-André van der Schans to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Honorio Geleberto in the 60th minute. Honorio Geleberto made a great header on Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's corner, it was just that Linghed Angels FC's David Seaman managed to reach the ball for a save. Kim-André van der Schans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jörgen Magnusson in the 61st minute. Gavino Iratxo struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. David Seaman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC. David Seaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remzi Oruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The corner ended in Honorio Geleberto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Linghed Angels FC's David Seaman did a great save. David Seaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remzi Oruz in the 68th minute of play. Robert Melin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Kim-André van der Schans made a huge save. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Victor Malmberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Linghed Angels FC's players had a chance to rest. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Melin in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kim-André van der Schans saved Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC from getting behind. Kim-André van der Schans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fu Ling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when Ratan Ayala put in a rough tackle. 84 minutes into the game, one of Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC:s Kim-André van der Schans showed great skill when he stopped Fu Ling:s penalty. Robert Melin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Kim-André van der Schans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Linghed Angels FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
