Spectators: 7463 (Terracing: 5598, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Neal Weatherby started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Amapola got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Uzuri. The corner led to Elderslie Magpies's Ovidio Etxekopar getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Camilo Segio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Christian Kerville tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ralph Gorham during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Elderslie Magpies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralph Gorham to maneuver through the defense. Elderslie Magpies's Christian Kerville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Souad Matmour in the 12th minute of play. After 27 minutes of play, Elderslie Magpies's Neal Weatherby made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugo Orlando Gatti was left in no man's land by his defense there! 30 minutes into the match, Elderslie Magpies's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Tavio came free, but Christian Kerville reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Kerville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Uzuri, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Steven Chaptal sped through Amapola's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hugo Orlando Gatti. Rick Souness's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Orlando Gatti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Neal Weatherby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Amapola players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Elderslie Magpies were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Ubaldo Uzuri made the kick off in the second half. Batıkan Erdem hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Christian Kerville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Froila, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 60th minute, Elderslie Magpies's Arty Behla seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Arty Behla the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Elderslie Magpies protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Arty Behla had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Elderslie Magpies fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! Christian Kerville had in the 63rdth minute some difficulties stopping Angel Berart's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 66th minute, Gilberto Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Kerville took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Froila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Elderslie Magpies defense, Horacio Tavio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christian Kerville. The Elderslie Magpies fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Kerville should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Elderslie Magpies getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Ovidio Etxekopar hit a great ball. In the 75th match minute, Elderslie Magpies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rick Souness to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 84 minutes, Ubaldo Uzuri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amapola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Uzuri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Steven Chaptal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Orlando Gatti having to interfere. Christian Kerville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Segio, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
