An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmy Cado in the 11th minute of play forced XMAS's goalkeeper Armando Polidori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Polidori stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jimmy Cado's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 19th match minute, XMAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Concetto Marinucci to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute Jimmy Cado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Polidori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the XMAS defense, Jimmy Cado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Polidori. The XMAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Polidori should have stopped the shot. XMAS's Armando Polidori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maiorga Espriella in the 42nd minute of play. Gustaf Wickander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberigo Gianfrancesco in the 44th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberigo Gianfrancesco in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustaf Wickander saved Real Quemado FC from getting behind. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maiorga Espriella was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Christian Zaccardi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jimmy Cado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. Maiorga Espriella's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Polidori read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play.
