The referee felt a red card was in order, 2 minutes into the game, when Marquinhos Miranda put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Legio X Eqvestris booed when Danone CC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roald Ahland struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Isaltino Couto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Legio X Eqvestris. Isaltino Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Paradela in the 5th minute of play. Isaltino Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Paradela in the 6th minute of the match. Dário Mesquita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Ariel Gustau made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roald Ahland in the 19th minute of play forced Danone CC's goalkeeper Isaltino Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaltino Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Navarro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danone CC's Isaltino Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Navarro in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Legio X Eqvestris's goalkeeper Ariel Gustau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enéas Carneiro. Ariel Gustau made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Enéas Carneiro sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute, Samuel McQuarrie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Legio X Eqvestris's Generoso Emenon got a free kick in the 44th minute. With a little luck, Legio X Eqvestris's Ariel Gustau got control of the ball when Dário Mesquita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ariel Gustau was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Dário Mesquita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dário Mesquita really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Luis Navarro made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Marcelino Kimetz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaltino Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaltino Couto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelino Kimetz in the 59th minute. With a little luck, Danone CC's Isaltino Couto got control of the ball when Tadeusz Rudy tried to sneak it across the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Danone CC's goal looked a bit too open when José Paradela came free, but Isaltino Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel McQuarrie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danone CC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dário Mesquita in the 79th minute. Danone CC's Dário Mesquita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ariel Gustau in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience was convinced that Moisés Linhares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ariel Gustau was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Ariel Gustau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Alberto Sá hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute Luis Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaltino Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Navarro might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isaltino Couto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Navarro ran back to his position shaking his head. Isaltino Couto made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when José Paradela sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Danone CC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Cauã Toledo hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tadeusz Rudy got free with Isaltino Couto in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Legio X Eqvestris were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Danone CC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roald Ahland took the corner.
