After 5 played minutes Elderslie Magpies got a freekick which was hit by Neal Weatherby. 6 minutes into the match, Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper Christian Kerville had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lv Yuan Kuan. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Pepsi's Lv Yuan Kuan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Christian Kerville. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, FC Pepsi's Bruno Lucente got a free kick in the 12th minute. Christian Kerville took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Lundin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the game, Arty Behla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elderslie Magpies's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Pepsi the free kick. After 15 played minutes Elderslie Magpies got a freekick which was hit by Arty Behla. In the 16th minute of the match Ludvig Ahlroht shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Kerville showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Kurt Lundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neal Weatherby took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paul Holmstedt. Paul Holmstedt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. With a little luck, Elderslie Magpies's Christian Kerville got control of the ball when Lv Yuan Kuan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, FC Pepsi's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Chaptal came free, but Paul Holmstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute Bruno Lucente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Kerville saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Elderslie Magpies's Neal Weatherby in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Pepsi's goalie prevented a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Christian Kerville successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Elderslie Magpies's Christian Kerville proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Elderslie Magpies from getting a goal against them. Paul Holmstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rick Souness, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Neal Weatherby made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Kurt Lundin made a precise shot to the right of Christian Kerville. Elderslie Magpies's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Paul Holmstedt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ovidio Etxekopar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 54 minute of play. Paul Holmstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rick Souness, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Kerville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Lundin in the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Sammut Castelletti in the 63rd minute of play forced Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper Christian Kerville to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 65 minutes Elderslie Magpies's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ludvig Ahlroht who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Ludvig Ahlroht almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Elderslie Magpies's Christian Kerville did a great save. In the 67th minute Lv Yuan Kuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Kerville saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Pepsi's Kanu Kanu was substituted for Lv Yuan Kuan. A nice corner shot did that Ludvig Ahlroht got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Christian Kerville quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 75th minute Kurt Lundin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Kerville saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Kerville made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joshua Sammut Castelletti in the 81st minute of play. Kanu Kanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Christian Kerville tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joshua Sammut Castelletti in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Kerville prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 85th minute FC Pepsi were awarded a corner. Ludvig Ahlroht went to the cornerflag to take it. After 85 minutes of play, FC Pepsi's Kanu Kanu made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Kerville was left in no man's land by his defense there! Christian Kerville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joshua Sammut Castelletti in the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kanu Kanu in the 94th minute of play forced Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper Christian Kerville to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Pepsi were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
