Tony Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicu Vornicu in the 2nd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, Westbam's goal looked a bit too open when Winarto Songgonau came free, but Tony Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waut Van Der Meeren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klement Pawlak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute Klement Pawlak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waut Van Der Meeren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Nicu Vornicu made a precise shot to the right of Tony Arruda. Westbam's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Tony Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Waut Van Der Meeren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teodoro Rocha in the 17th minute. After having played for 18 minutes, Mickael De Winter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anversa Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mickael De Winter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 24 minutes of play, Anversa Club's Reiner Fallas made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tony Arruda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tony Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Winarto Songgonau in the 30th minute of play. Westbam's Tony Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reiner Fallas in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Westbam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofil Hryc to maneuver through the defense. Anversa Club's Mickael De Winter got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Winarto Songgonau left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Anversa Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 44th match minute, Westbam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateusz Badanowski to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute, Westbam's Klement Pawlak dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Klement Pawlak made a kick off. If Teodoro Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute, Czeslaw Furgat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Cruz in the 61st minute of play forced Westbam's goalkeeper Tony Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match, Nicu Vornicu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tony Arruda saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 64th minute, Anversa Club's Nicu Vornicu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tony Arruda. Tony Arruda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Winarto Songgonau got free with Tony Arruda in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tony Arruda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicu Vornicu went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. In the 72nd minute, Westbam's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Winarto Songgonau fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Tony Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicu Vornicu, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute, Anversa Club's Winarto Songgonau dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-7. Tony Arruda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicu Vornicu's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. 83 minutes into the game, Westbam's Teodoro Rocha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Waut Van Der Meeren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-7. Tony Arruda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicu Vornicu's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 2-8 when Nicu Vornicu sped through Westbam's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tony Arruda. Tony Arruda had great luck who in the 89thth minute grab hold of the ball when Nicu Vornicu from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Tony Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicu Vornicu in the 90th minute of the match. With 92 minutes on the clock, Aldo Buinton commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 93rd match minute, Westbam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Buinton to maneuver through the defense. Westbam's Tony Arruda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Westbam from getting a goal against them. The Westbam fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Anversa Club were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
