Christian Bale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicu Vornicu in the 3rd minute of the match. Toni Tagarov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Di Kun in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Waut Van Der Meeren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute Di Kun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waut Van Der Meeren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute Botev Plovdiv 1912 were awarded a corner. Billy Borre went to the cornerflag to take it. Botev Plovdiv 1912's Christian Bale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Winarto Songgonau in the 15th minute of play. When Anversa Club's Nicu Vornicu in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Anversa Club's Waut Van Der Meeren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Di Kun in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Botev Plovdiv 1912 were awarded a corner. Billy Borre went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Botev Plovdiv 1912's Billy Borre to fire away a dangerous shot which Waut Van Der Meeren despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Waut Van Der Meeren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Di Kun, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute Di Kun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waut Van Der Meeren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Botev Plovdiv 1912's Christian Bale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicu Vornicu in the 37th minute of play. Joe Van Landschoot hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Di Kun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Botev Plovdiv 1912 booed when Anversa Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Procházka didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Anversa Club's goal looked a bit too open when Di Kun came free, but Waut Van Der Meeren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Winarto Songgonau ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christian Bale was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicu Vornicu to make the kick off. Nestor Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Christian Bale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Di Kun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Di Kun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Waut Van Der Meeren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. When Benigno Bingen fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Botev Plovdiv 1912's protests and gave Benigno Bingen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Anversa Club booed when Botev Plovdiv 1912 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benigno Bingen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute Di Kun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waut Van Der Meeren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Bale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicu Vornicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Orvar Malmberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 80 minutes of play, Anversa Club's Reiner Fallas made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Bale was left in no man's land by his defense there! Orvar Malmberg charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orvar Malmberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Di Kun might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Waut Van Der Meeren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Di Kun ran back to his position shaking his head. Anversa Club were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Botev Plovdiv 1912 for a fine match.
