The audience thought a goal was coming when Andres Oper got free with Otto Zuidam in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Strib Galacticos IF were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Springplank FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Davide Ubriaco took the corner. The corner led to Strib Galacticos IF's Zhao Xiong Han getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Eddie Murphy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Springplank FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eddie Murphy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gunvald Glarkrog breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 11 minutes in the game Niels-Jan Cales did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Niels-Jan Cales. With a little luck, Springplank FC's Otto Zuidam got control of the ball when Andres Oper tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 17th minute, Andres Oper reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Otto Zuidam. The goal made the score 1-0. Gunvald Glarkrog made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mevlüt Naşit in the 21st minute of play. After 21 minutes of play, Springplank FC's Mevlüt Naşit made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gunvald Glarkrog was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gunvald Glarkrog stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mevlüt Naşit's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. The supporters of Springplank FC booed when Strib Galacticos IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davide Ubriaco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Strib Galacticos IF's goal looked a bit too open when Mevlüt Naşit came free, but Gunvald Glarkrog reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andres Oper struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Otto Zuidam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Strib Galacticos IF. After a defensive mix-up in Strib Galacticos IF's zone, Eddie Murphy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gunvald Glarkrog came out of the goal and Eddie Murphy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Springplank FC's Mathieu Schophuis got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute of the match Davide Ubriaco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Otto Zuidam showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Otto Zuidam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sivart Djursgård, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mevlüt Naşit was the one to do the kick off. Gunvald Glarkrog showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mevlüt Naşit, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 55 played minutes Strib Galacticos IF got a freekick which was hit by Sivart Djursgård. With his leg Gunvald Glarkrog managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Springplank FC's Eddie Murphy fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Oper in the 63rd minute of play forced Springplank FC's goalkeeper Otto Zuidam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Davide Ubriaco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Springplank FC booed when Strib Galacticos IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar Ginhart didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Strib Galacticos IF's Davide Ubriaco got a free kick in the 67th minute. Springplank FC's Kevin Booy got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Springplank FC's Otto Zuidam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Oper in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Zhao Xiong Han shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Zuidam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mevlüt Naşit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Gunvald Glarkrog tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Strib Galacticos IF's Sonni Engklint was substituted for Asım Arif Akatay. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Hagbard Ribov put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Otto Zuidam. In the 86th minute Hagbard Ribov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Zuidam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mevlüt Naşit in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gunvald Glarkrog saved Strib Galacticos IF from getting behind. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Springplank FC's goalkeeper Otto Zuidam, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute Hagbard Ribov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Zuidam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mevlüt Naşit recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Hagbard Ribov notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Springplank FC's Otto Zuidam. Otto Zuidam was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew the final whistle, Strib Galacticos IF could leave the field as winners, despite Springplank FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
