After some careless play in the CACYFA defense, Wilton Vale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luis Quirce. The CACYFA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luis Quirce should have stopped the shot. Ahmet Kadri Adılhan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CACYFA's Luis Quirce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilton Vale in the 13th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, TAQUARI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Safet Jovanović came free, but Rodolfo Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. TAQUARI FC's Rodolfo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Czornomaz in the 21st minute of play. Luis Quirce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilton Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the game, Wilton Vale recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luis Quirce. Wilton Vale showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Luis Quirce was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wilton Vale showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 28 minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, CACYFA's goalkeeper Luis Quirce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilton Vale. After a rather tough play, CACYFA's Benigno Amor got a free kick in the 35th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Wilton Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TAQUARI FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilton Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41stth minute of the game Adrian Czornomaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TAQUARI FC's Rodolfo Salgado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Safet Jovanović kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adrian Czornomaz was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, TAQUARI FC's Wilton Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luis Quirce narrowly saved just below the crossbar. TAQUARI FC were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after CACYFA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bernard Letourneau took the corner. The audience was convinced that Wilton Vale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luis Quirce was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Wilton Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luis Quirce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, CACYFA's Safet Jovanović got a free kick in the 66th minute. Emil Tomasson made in the 68th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Basilio Bixintxo. TAQUARI FC made a substitution. Erasmo Gaspar replaced Ernani Souto. TAQUARI FC's Giannis Karagiotis was substituted for Valer Covaliu. CACYFA's Adolfo Jorrin was substituted for Safet Jovanović. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of CACYFA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of TAQUARI FC:s goal. In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for TAQUARI FC. Wilton Vale stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luis Quirce. 4-0. 76 minutes into the match, Wilton Vale had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luis Quirce. CACYFA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilton Vale was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After a rather tough play, CACYFA's Emil Tomasson got a free kick in the 79th minute. Luis Quirce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilton Vale's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. In the 94th minute Erasmo Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Quirce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by CACYFA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bernard Letourneau was slow to take the kick. During this time TAQUARI FC's players had a chance to rest. Bernard Letourneau made a great header on TAQUARI FC's corner, it was just that CACYFA's Luis Quirce managed to reach the ball for a save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. TAQUARI FC had won after a very even match.
