After having played for 13 minutes, Corneliu Dridu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dr Lecter SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corneliu Dridu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurelio Astudillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omid Kaulbach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 17 minutes, Mauro Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dr Lecter SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Quilo Lujarra got free with Celso Trevisan in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dr Lecter SC's Ma Wei Jun quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ahmet Sedat Öğüç, made in the 21st minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Corneliu Dridu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aurelio Astudillo was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Celso Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boğaç Altuncuoğlu in the 27th minute of play. The corner ended in Mauro Romero almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but San Lorenzo 11's Aurelio Astudillo did a great save. Celso Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmar Oskitz in the 35th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delmar Oskitz got free with Celso Trevisan in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 41 minutes into the match, Corneliu Dridu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of San Lorenzo 11's Aurelio Astudillo. Aurelio Astudillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 44 minutes into the game, Domingos Da Guía was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dr Lecter SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Lorenzo 11 the free kick. In the 44th minute, Domingos Da Guía hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Boğaç Altuncuoğlu made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Boğaç Altuncuoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celso Trevisan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Celso Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Bucciarelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After 75 minutes, Corneliu Dridu made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. San Lorenzo 11's Aurelio Astudillo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. San Lorenzo 11's Santiago Sidro was substituted for Claudio Bucciarelli. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo 11's Ahmet Sedat Öğüç got a free kick in the 79th minute.
