A well-hit corner resulted in Gerardo Rainerio heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudio Bucciarelli in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Grant Blacknell saved Leicester Lions from getting behind. The supporters of San Lorenzo 11 booed when Leicester Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stu Hislop didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quilo Lujarra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Grant Blacknell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tod Freeman to strike the kick off in the second half. Sebastien Clifford's late challenge caught a San Lorenzo 11's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastien Clifford helped the player get up and apologised. 88 minutes into the match, Camron Rhodes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aurelio Astudillo. San Lorenzo 11's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Camron Rhodes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.
