The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jailson Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Gitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 6 minutes into the match, AVAÍ F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Sigve Rossland came free, but Jailson Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tadeo Distiratsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Alegría, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jailson Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigve Rossland in the 10th minute of the match. Teodoro Magalhães had several of the Jarana FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 20 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Tadeo Distiratsu as he didn't even see the shot coming. Jailson Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Gitano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rubens Cabral came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the AVAÍ F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubens Cabral couldn't finish the play. A nice corner shot did that Yang Yao Kuan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jailson Teles quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jailson Teles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilfredo Gitano went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jarana FC's Wilfredo Gitano got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40thth minute of the game Wilfredo Gitano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AVAÍ F.C.'s Jailson Teles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Wilfredo Gitano put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jailson Teles. After 42 played minutes Jarana FC got a freekick which was hit by Marciano Christobal. 45 minutes into the match, AVAÍ F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Gitano came free, but Jailson Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Walmyr Salles made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfredo Gitano in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jailson Teles saved AVAÍ F.C. from getting behind. In the 55th minute of the match Jarana FC got a corner. AVAÍ F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yang Yao Kuan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tadeo Distiratsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmyr Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the AVAÍ F.C. defense, Wilfredo Gitano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jailson Teles. The AVAÍ F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jailson Teles should have stopped the shot. Tadeo Distiratsu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Salles in the 61st minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Jarana FC's Wilfredo Gitano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jailson Teles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64th match minute, Jarana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valko De Hond to maneuver through the defense. AVAÍ F.C. made a substitution. Tarcisio Chaves replaced Luiz Pombal. After 66 played minutes Jarana FC got a freekick which was hit by Valko De Hond. 72 minutes into the match, Walmyr Salles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tadeo Distiratsu. Jarana FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walmyr Salles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. AVAÍ F.C.'s Jailson Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Gitano in the 74th minute of play. The excitement rose when AVAÍ F.C.'s Elias Figueroa after 79 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Jarana FC's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 3-3. The supporters of Jarana FC booed when AVAÍ F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Innocenzio Corales didn't get a good kick on the ball. 4-3 became the score in the 88th minute when Walmyr Salles elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 92nd match minute, AVAÍ F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmyr Salles to maneuver through the defense.
