Picanya FC's Naldo Roig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão Medeiros in the 14th minute of play. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Montesclarense E.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Henric Villaquiran was slow to take the kick. During this time Picanya FC's players had a chance to rest. Picanya FC's Henric Villaquiran was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edgard de Almeida in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 27th match minute, Picanya FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ugaitz Silva to maneuver through the defense. After 30 minutes Picanya FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ernani Tavares who took care of the corner kick. Montesclarense E.C.'s Edgard de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaskon Gimeno in the 37th minute of play. Gaskon Gimeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulão Medeiros made a kick off. Marcos Eger hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute of the match Picanya FC got a corner. Montesclarense E.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Henric Villaquiran ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Picanya FC's Gregory Bermejo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Montesclarense E.C.'s André Luís Schmidt was substituted for Paulão Medeiros. Henric Villaquiran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Edgard de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Naldo Roig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luís Schmidt in the 71st minute of play. After some careless play in the Picanya FC defense, André Luís Schmidt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Naldo Roig. The Picanya FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Naldo Roig should have stopped the shot. Iratze Lillo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Naldo Roig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luís Schmidt in the 80th minute of the match. Montesclarense E.C.'s Edgard de Almeida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Montesclarense E.C. from getting a goal against them. Naldo Roig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Naldo Roig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luís Schmidt in the 85th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Picanya FC's Jonathan Reina slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edgard de Almeida. That made the score 1-2 after 86 minutes of play. André Luís Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Naldo Roig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 95 played minutes Picanya FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Reina. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Picanya FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
