In the 44thth minute of the game Rudy Gummow who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Overal Peru's Teobald Czaplicki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Overal Peru getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jobo Amondo hit a great ball. The Overal Peru players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Melbourne 007 were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ugutz Prada to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Overal Peru's zone, Burhanettin Utman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teobald Czaplicki came out of the goal and Burhanettin Utman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 52nd minute, Chepe Velis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Melbourne 007's Rudy Gummow in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Rudy Gummow in the 59th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Teobald Czaplicki kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-3 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Chepe Velis's late challenge caught a Melbourne 007's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chepe Velis helped the player get up and apologised. Chepe Velis hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Teobald Czaplicki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Burhanettin Utman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teobald Czaplicki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudy Gummow in the 80th minute of the match. Dolfos Galdamez struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Melbourne 007's Rudy Gummow was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 86th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
