After 10 minutes, Rodrigo Nestor made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 13 minutes of play, ZigZag Athletic's Nicki Nick made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jarrett Rosenberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 16thth minute of the game Nicki Nick who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jarrett Rosenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicki Nick in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, ZigZag Athletic's Nicki Nick nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jarrett Rosenberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 25 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goal looked a bit too open when Nicki Nick came free, but Jarrett Rosenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute of the match, Patrick Fontenot got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mehmet Akif Ersoy was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 31st minute Nicki Nick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrett Rosenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Nicki Nick notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg. Jarrett Rosenberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 38th minute of the match ZigZag Athletic got a corner. Cosmos Soccer Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hector Ares ran over to the corner to take the kick. After having played for 44 minutes, Rodrigo Nestor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ZigZag Athletic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Nestor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodrigo Nestor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rodrigo Nestor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Jarrett Rosenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jarrett Rosenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Nestor in the 54th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as ZigZag Athletic's Nicki Nick slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jarrett Rosenberg. That made the score 0-5 after 68 minutes of play. The supporters of Cosmos Soccer Club booed when ZigZag Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Nestor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bengt-Rune Öman might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jarrett Rosenberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bengt-Rune Öman ran back to his position shaking his head. Patrick Fontenot's late challenge caught a ZigZag Athletic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrick Fontenot helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd match minute, Cosmos Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Fontenot to maneuver through the defense. 83 minutes into the match, Jesper Vollander dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jarrett Rosenberg, 0-6. Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Corrêa in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Jarrett Rosenberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jesper Vollander's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Jarrett Rosenberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With his leg Jarrett Rosenberg managed to avoid a goal in the 97thth minute, when ZigZag Athletic's Jesper Vollander fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
