The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Armin Bilodeau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicki Nick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mehmet Akif Ersoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bodo Rodel, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. ZigZag Athletic's Henrik Hedenskog was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Armin Bilodeau in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and I Putu í Lon Jacobsen made a kick off. Nicki Nick struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Armin Bilodeau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ZigZag Athletic.
