The audience was convinced that Saturnino Abeitia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ewan Davin was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. 41 minutes into the game, Martin Engrand was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The corner led Liberland's Mariano Caetano to fire away a dangerous shot which Ewan Davin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of La Scaloneta booed when Liberland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Playo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pierre Dole could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Rene Eduino made a huge save. After 65 minutes Liberland's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was John Costes who took care of the corner kick. John Costes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Eduino having to interfere. Moussa Queffelec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amaury Duteil hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Enrique Nikola was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 78th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ewan Davin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Caetano in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Madjid Pauly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Eduino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rene Eduino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Costes in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Liberland's Damaso Francho got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Damaso Francho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ewan Davin having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Francho came free, but Ewan Davin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. La Scaloneta had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
