The referee ignored Granicerul's protests and gave Cornel Nastac a yellow card for diving instead. After 4 played minutes, The Reds's Benny Kvick shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Remus Vuia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in The Reds reached it. Remus Pinczewski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Sten Andreasson made a huge save. After 8 played minutes Granicerul got a freekick which was hit by Eusebiu Ianculescu. Sten Andreasson made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Remus Pinczewski sent off a good shot on target. Remus Pinczewski succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 11th playminute. The supporters of Granicerul booed when The Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Frykberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Remus Pinczewski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Granicerul's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Benny Kvick was slow to take the kick. During this time The Reds's players had a chance to rest. In the 25th minute of the match The Reds got a corner. Granicerul's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benny Kvick ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on The Reds's corner Benny Kvick fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Remus Vuia quite easily take care of the ball. Sten Andreasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebiu Ianculescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 29thth minute of the game Eusebiu Ianculescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Reds's Sten Andreasson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eusebiu Ianculescu succeeded in the game's 31st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. 36 minutes into the match, Adolfo Vogel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Remus Vuia. Granicerul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adolfo Vogel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 43 played minutes Granicerul got a freekick which was hit by Dorel Măndica. Remus Vuia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benny Kvick in the 44th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Remus Pinczewski made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Aron Brăescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sten Andreasson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Aron Brăescu succeeded in the game's 55th minute to get real power on a long shot . The Reds's Sten Andreasson hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 4-1! Adolfo Vogel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When The Reds's Fred Isaksson in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Granicerul's goalie prevented a goal. Remus Pinczewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Sten Andreasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remus Vuia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adolfo Vogel went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. The Reds's Johnny Lange got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sten Andreasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Simion in the 79th minute of the match. When Aron Apelquist fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Reds's protests and gave Aron Apelquist a yellow card for diving instead. Aron Apelquist hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. The Reds's Sten Andreasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebiu Ianculescu in the 81st minute of play. Remus Vuia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnny Lange in the 86th minute of play.
