In the 32nd minute, Florencio Herbella made a precise shot to the right of Sten Andreasson. The Reds's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. 36 minutes into the game, Florencio Herbella cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Sten Andreasson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 41stth minute of the game Florencio Herbella who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Reds's Sten Andreasson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Marcial Zuazna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

In the 58thth minute of the game Johnny Lange who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico Maturrango's Weather Piedrahita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to The Reds getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Niklas Bjurström hit a great ball. Sten Andreasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Herbella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florencio Herbella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sten Andreasson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florencio Herbella went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Atletico Maturrango made a substitution. Fidencio Santandres replaced Cristobal Tabby. Atletico Maturrango's Weather Piedrahita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Isaksson in the 72nd minute of play. After having played for 81 minutes, Orlin Hinojosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Maturrango's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlin Hinojosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Ederono Ojero sped through The Reds's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sten Andreasson. Atletico Maturrango's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlin Hinojosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sten Andreasson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 89 minutes into the match, Atletico Maturrango's Ederono Ojero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sten Andreasson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sten Andreasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Zuazna in the 90th minute of play.
