Spectators: 7638 (Terracing: 5730, Seating: 1756, VIP seats: 152) Larkins Potter started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 9 minutes into the match, Joaquim Paredes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Elias Urdaspal, 1-0. Elias Urdaspal made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Joaquim Paredes sent off a good shot on target. After 13 played minutes Gremio Viana got a freekick which was hit by Mohamed Ali Bomba. 16 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's Joaquim Paredes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elias Urdaspal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 19 minutes of play, Wara's Larkins Potter made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Samuel Fiúza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Elias Urdaspal came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Gremio Viana's Joaquim Paredes. But to his dismay, Joaquim Paredes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Joaquim Paredes took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Elias Urdaspal to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Wara's Elias Urdaspal got control of the ball when Joaquim Paredes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goal looked a bit too open when Faouzi Louahla came free, but Samuel Fiúza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Wara's goalkeeper Elias Urdaspal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Paredes. Elias Urdaspal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony Påk, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Larkins Potter in the 44th minute of play forced Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Samuel Fiúza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim Paredes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Augustin Panaiteanu's late challenge caught a Wara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augustin Panaiteanu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Augustin Panaiteanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Gremio Viana's zone, Larkins Potter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Fiúza came out of the goal and Larkins Potter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gremio Viana made a substitution. Carlos Luna replaced Joaquim Paredes. Gremio Viana's Albi Koka managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cheb El-Hadi in the 64 minute of the game. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wara's goalkeeper Elias Urdaspal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Augustin Panaiteanu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Elias Urdaspal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gremio Viana made a substitution. Antonio Calisto replaced Tony Påk. Gremio Viana were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Wara's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Augustin Panaiteanu took the corner. After a rather tough play, Wara's Camilo Rojas got a free kick in the 85th minute. Carlos Luna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gremio Viana were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Wara for a fine match.
