Robi Rebane kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Paulino Lamberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Illimar Sulg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cecilio Jax showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taavi Kapsi in the 17th minute of the match. Illimar Sulg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Lamberto in the 23rd minute of play. In the 30th minute Paulino Lamberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Illimar Sulg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Hugo's Illimar Sulg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Lamberto in the 31st minute of play. Illimar Sulg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Lamberto in the 33rd minute of play. Juhan Lemsalu hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the game, Robi Rebane threw the ball into play from the sideline. San Martin de Tucuman's Luciano Selmo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Ubaldo Veto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Illimar Sulg having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Ubaldo Veto put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Illimar Sulg. 47 minutes into the match, FC Hugo's goal looked a bit too open when Ubaldo Veto came free, but Illimar Sulg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Taavi Kapsi to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ubaldo Veto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taavi Kapsi in the 54th minute of play forced San Martin de Tucuman's goalkeeper Cecilio Jax to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, FC Hugo's Illimar Sulg got control of the ball when Ubaldo Veto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ubaldo Veto might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Illimar Sulg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ubaldo Veto ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernhard Saaring in the 62nd minute of play forced San Martin de Tucuman's goalkeeper Cecilio Jax to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernhard Saaring made in the 65th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by San Martin de Tucuman's Paulino Lamberto. Ubaldo Veto might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Illimar Sulg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ubaldo Veto ran back to his position shaking his head. FC Hugo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Ubaldo Veto scored to the left of an out of position Illimar Sulg, making the score, 1-2. Robi Rebane's late challenge caught a San Martin de Tucuman's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robi Rebane helped the player get up and apologised. Illimar Sulg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcial Munio in the 75th minute. If Marcial Munio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcial Munio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcial Munio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Illimar Sulg made a huge save. San Martin de Tucuman's Cecilio Jax played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maarek Nisu in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute Taavi Kapsi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Jax saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Hugo's Illimar Sulg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save FC Hugo from getting a goal against them. In the 90th minute, Marcial Munio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 90 minutes into the match, FC Hugo's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Munio came free, but Illimar Sulg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Marcial Munio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Illimar Sulg, 1-3. The FC Hugo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching San Martin de Tucuman's performance. The match ended with a win for San Martin de Tucuman.
