Spectators: 7611 (Terracing: 5709, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joaquim Paredes started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Cable a Tierra's zone, Joaquim Paredes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonides Telesforo came out of the goal and Joaquim Paredes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12thth minute of the game Gavino Egoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cable a Tierra's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Betão Prestes in the 13th minute. Samuel Fiúza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Egoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Joaquim Paredes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leonides Telesforo. The goal made the score 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Joaquim Paredes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leonides Telesforo. That made the score 2-0 in the 37 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cable a Tierra's Vitoldas Bilota got a free kick in the 46th minute. The long shot by Augustin Panaiteanu in the 46th minute really tested Leonides Telesforo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Narciso Bertassi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Betão Prestes charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Betão Prestes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 61 played minutes Cable a Tierra got a freekick which was hit by Betão Prestes. Gremio Viana made a substitution. Carlos Luna replaced Joaquim Paredes. In the 62nd match minute, Cable a Tierra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betão Prestes to maneuver through the defense. Leonides Telesforo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Luna in the 63rd minute of play. After having played for 65 minutes, Paulão Laguna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cable a Tierra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulão Laguna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuel Fiúza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavino Egoi in the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th match minute, Gremio Viana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Påk to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Fiúza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Bertassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Carlos Luna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonides Telesforo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Gremio Viana made a substitution. Antonio Calisto replaced Tony Påk. After some careless play in the Gremio Viana defense, Gavino Egoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Fiúza. The Gremio Viana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Fiúza should have stopped the shot. Cable a Tierra's Gavino Egoi got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonides Telesforo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Calisto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Carlos Luna notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Cable a Tierra's Leonides Telesforo. Leonides Telesforo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cable a Tierra's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
