No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roland Banaszak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, FC Saxon's Tadeusz Siekierka ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ioan Voicu. Ioan Voicu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. 59 minutes into the match, FC Saxon's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Laurendi came free, but Gustaw Lech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute Gaston Laurendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaw Lech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
