In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Recolta Alamor's goalkeeper Yoel Quevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elder de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmanuel Pennington in the 5th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Deshawn Souza in the 7th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Lino Budimir. GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Elder de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyprian Rosen in the 8th minute of play. Elder de Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmanuel Pennington in the 9th minute of the match. Elder de Toledo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cyprian Rosen went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmanuel Pennington in the 14th minute of play forced GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s goalkeeper Elder de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 minutes GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Damian Dean who took care of the corner kick. When Recolta Alamor's Emmanuel Pennington in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The corner went over the outstretched arms of GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s goalie and right to Wes Nichols. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 23rdth minute of the game Emmanuel Pennington who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Elder de Toledo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute Recolta Alamor were awarded a corner. Damian Dean went to the cornerflag to take it. Ibrica Madunić hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Wes Nichols kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Elder de Toledo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emmanuel Pennington's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. It was a well-played corner which Wes Nichols managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Elder de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emmanuel Pennington, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 35th match minute, GNK Dinamo Zagreb™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kelvin Coleman to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Emmanuel Pennington's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elder de Toledo was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Kelvin Coleman charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kelvin Coleman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Emmanuel Pennington managed to get in a good position for a shot. Recolta Alamor's supporters rose to their feet, but Emmanuel Pennington was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elder de Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
