In the 14th minute, Osman Ali Okutan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to FC Momlinho getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jan Koller hit a great ball. The corner led Real Salsa F.C.'s Osman Ali Okutan to fire away a dangerous shot which Joachim Hellkvist despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sven-Olof Kielstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Sancar Yağınalp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joachim Hellkvist. FC Momlinho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sancar Yağınalp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Real Salsa F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Osman Ali Okutan in the 30th minute. Joachim Hellkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ximenes Oñatibia in the 34th minute of the match. Joachim Hellkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pantelis Kotoulas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osman Ali Okutan in the 38th minute of play forced FC Momlinho's goalkeeper Joachim Hellkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joachim Hellkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sancar Yağınalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the FC Momlinho defense, Sancar Yağınalp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joachim Hellkvist. The FC Momlinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joachim Hellkvist should have stopped the shot. Joachim Hellkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ximenes Oñatibia, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven-Olof Kielstedt made a kick off. Greger Fribäck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Koller in the 57th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Arvin Wallmark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
