After some careless play in the Los Colegas del Barrio defense, Ola Rydberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Victor. The Los Colegas del Barrio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Victor should have stopped the shot. If Ola Rydberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 22nd minute Ola Rydberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Victor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Los Colegas del Barrio booed when Arye Suryoye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademir Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Victor came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Arye Suryoye's Ola Rydberg. But to his dismay, Ola Rydberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Ola Rydberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Victor having to make a save. Paulo Victor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ola Rydberg in the 28th minute of the match. Kenneth Käcker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eutropio Harroyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 47 minutes of play, Arye Suryoye's Norberto Loureiro made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Victor was left in no man's land by his defense there!

In the 52nd minute of the game Cordarin Silva made a throw-in which Gai Teruel played forward. Ola Rydberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 58th minute, Cordarin Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ola Rydberg in the 59th minute of play forced Los Colegas del Barrio's goalkeeper Paulo Victor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Los Colegas del Barrio's Paulo Victor got control of the ball when Ola Rydberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valdemar Beckeman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Victor having to interfere. Los Colegas del Barrio's Paulo Victor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Los Colegas del Barrio from getting a goal against them. If Valdemar Beckeman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Arye Suryoye supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Arye Suryoye would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
