Arlindo Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kraig Rowley in the 10th minute of the match. Emilio Munio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antônio Carlos Bueno's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Marcos Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 played minutes AF CERRADO got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Paulista. Arlindo Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Su, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Acercate Y Patea de Lejos booed when AF CERRADO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Kraig Rowley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 25 minutes of play, Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Kraig Rowley made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arlindo Guedes was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Primitivo Jatsu during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Acercate Y Patea de Lejos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Jatsu to maneuver through the defense. Emilio Munio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, AF CERRADO's Emilio Munio threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Antônio Carlos Bueno, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Emilio Munio got control of the ball when Murilo Lucas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 38 minutes Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Pombal who took care of the corner kick. Jaime Pombal made a great header on AF CERRADO's corner, it was just that Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Emilio Munio managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, AF CERRADO's Nestor Hermes got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antônio Carlos Bueno was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Acercate Y Patea de Lejos getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jose Gipuzkoa hit a great ball. AF CERRADO's Felix Smits was substituted for Carlos Alberto Jacinto. AF CERRADO's Thiago Damião was substituted for Marcos Paulista. Jose Gipuzkoa kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Antônio Carlos Bueno scored 3-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emilio Munio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emilio Munio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Damião in the 77th minute of play. Federico Colas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arlindo Guedes came out and tried to block the shot, but Federico Colas slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 84th minute. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Emilio Munio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 87th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Federico Colas put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Arlindo Guedes. Emilio Munio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the AF CERRADO players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
