Spectators: 7541 (Terracing: 5657, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ola Rydberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. Kenneth Käcker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbson Bittencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute of the match AF CERRADO got a corner. Arye Suryoye's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Pombal ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 7 minutes of play, Arye Suryoye's Ola Rydberg made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arlindo Guedes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arlindo Guedes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ola Rydberg's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. If Norberto Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute Murilo Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth Käcker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Arye Suryoye's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Paulista came free, but Kenneth Käcker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kenneth Käcker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Lucas in the 27th minute of play. Arlindo Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Loureiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Ademir Cerezo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ola Rydberg in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arlindo Guedes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ola Rydberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Arlindo Guedes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Arlindo Guedes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcos Paulista in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kenneth Käcker saved Arye Suryoye from getting behind. In the 46th minute of the match AF CERRADO got a corner. Arye Suryoye's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Pombal ran over to the corner to take the kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antônio Carlos Bueno was the one to do the kick off. Ola Rydberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arlindo Guedes having to make a save. Arlindo Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ola Rydberg in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Murilo Lucas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kenneth Käcker. Murilo Lucas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Ola Rydberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arlindo Guedes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ola Rydberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Arlindo Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ola Rydberg in the 64th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Ola Rydberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arye Suryoye's supporters rose to their feet, but Ola Rydberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arlindo Guedes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. AF CERRADO's Thiago Damião was substituted for Marcos Paulista. AF CERRADO's Dennis Contaldi was substituted for Róbson Bittencourt. AF CERRADO's Felix Smits was substituted for Carlos Alberto Jacinto. Arlindo Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Loureiro in the 72nd minute of the match. Norberto Loureiro made a great header on Arye Suryoye's corner, it was just that AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 77th minute of the game Iuri Falcão made a throw-in which Dennis Contaldi played forward. In the 79th minute, AF CERRADO's Toninho Moreira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kenneth Käcker. Kenneth Käcker yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Thanks to some nice moves Antônio Carlos Bueno could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Kenneth Käcker however easily saved by the left post. After 90 played minutes Arye Suryoye got a freekick which was hit by Valdemar Beckeman. 96 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goal looked a bit too open when Valdemar Beckeman came free, but Arlindo Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AF CERRADO's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
