Macaco F.C.'s Ingars Miders got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Macaco F.C.'s Jorge Campos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Lopes in the 28th minute of play. Jorge Campos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Lopes in the 28th minute of the match. Carlos Eduardo Lopez replaced Kenny Rothwell. After having played for 44 minutes, Roberto Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Lopes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roberto Lopes was the one to do the kick off. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Chico Donato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save DIPLOMATA FC PAB from getting a goal against them. After 59 minutes DIPLOMATA FC PAB's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hermínio Cavalcante who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Ingars Miders managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Olivier Gilg struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Jorge Campos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DIPLOMATA FC PAB. José Augusto Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Campos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olivier Gilg in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Luisinho Lira notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Chico Donato. Chico Donato was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Christian Carrier was substituted for Carlos Eduardo Lopez. Olivier Gilg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Campos having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Macaco F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Lopes came free, but Jorge Campos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haciqämbär Carabajal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Chico Donato. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
