Emiliano Etxepare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nasos Papadis in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Kanetos in the 4th minute of play forced Desafio FC's goalkeeper Emiliano Etxepare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciro Gonsalve got free with Ilias Seichanidis in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Desafio FC's Emiliano Etxepare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nasos Papadis in the 11th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Nasos Papadis notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Desafio FC's Emiliano Etxepare. Emiliano Etxepare was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nikos Kanetos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Emiliano Etxepare tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Desafio FC's Cristo Peio got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute of the match Nikos Kanetos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emiliano Etxepare skillfully saved the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Desafio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Landero came free, but Emiliano Etxepare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Babbis Theodorakakos in the 30th minute of play forced Desafio FC's goalkeeper Emiliano Etxepare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Landero in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emiliano Etxepare prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emiliano Etxepare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Babbis Theodorakakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nasos Papadis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Etxepare having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nikos Kanetos in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Etxepare saved Desafio FC from getting behind. After 51 played minutes Desafio FC got a freekick which was hit by Albano Abeitia. Desafio FC's Emiliano Etxepare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikos Kanetos in the 56th minute of play. Emiliano Etxepare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Landero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Landero had several of the Desafio FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 61 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Emiliano Etxepare as he didn't even see the shot coming. Augusto Landero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Emiliano Etxepare made a huge save. After 66 minutes Desafio FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nikos Kanetos who took care of the corner kick. Nasos Papadis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Emiliano Etxepare made a huge save. Augusto Landero in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Emiliano Etxepare, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 76 minutes into the match, Desafio FC's goalkeeper Emiliano Etxepare had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Landero. In the 85th minute, Augusto Landero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ΟΦΗ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The audience was convinced that Augusto Landero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emiliano Etxepare was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. If Augusto Landero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ilias Seichanidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Gonsalve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Desafio FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ΟΦΗ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
