After having played for 11 minutes, Rod Stewart managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DON RAMON 72's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rod Stewart was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jarbas Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silvano Harkaitz went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laerte Toscano during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of DON RAMON 72 booed when União Agrícola Barbarense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laerte Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domingos Gervaso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Jarbas Marques made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as DON RAMON 72's Fermin Laurendi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jarbas Marques. That made the score 2-0 after 31 minutes of play. In the 33rd minute, DON RAMON 72's Fermin Laurendi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermin Laurendi in the 37th minute of play forced União Agrícola Barbarense's goalkeeper Jarbas Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarbas Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fermin Laurendi in the 40th minute of play. Cayetano Estevez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Carlos Fernando Corrêa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. União Agrícola Barbarense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DON RAMON 72 the free kick. A collision led to União Agrícola Barbarense getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Carlos Fernando Corrêa hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rod Stewart made the kick off in the second half. Jarbas Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rod Stewart in the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvano Harkaitz in the 53rd minute of play forced União Agrícola Barbarense's goalkeeper Jarbas Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarbas Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rod Stewart went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fermin Laurendi in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jarbas Marques saved União Agrícola Barbarense from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Silvano Harkaitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarbas Marques was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. After 64 minutes, Fermin Laurendi made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. União Agrícola Barbarense's Jarbas Marques tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rod Stewart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Jarbas Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, União Agrícola Barbarense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir Valadares to maneuver through the defense. Rod Stewart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Marques having to interfere. União Agrícola Barbarense's Jarbas Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Estevez in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Estevez in the 84th minute of play forced União Agrícola Barbarense's goalkeeper Jarbas Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, União Agrícola Barbarense's goal looked a bit too open when Everardo Basajaun came free, but Jarbas Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Silvano Harkaitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DON RAMON 72 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. If Rod Stewart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Rod Stewart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. DON RAMON 72 had played much better football throughout.
