Spectators: 7504 (Terracing: 5629, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) Nitra FC's Yuri Tutorskiy started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yuri Tutorskiy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Henri-Patrick Widdepenninck made a huge save. After 9 played minutes Nitra FC got a freekick which was hit by Williams Ferrari. Walery Malik took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jerônimo Maranhense. Nitra FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 13th minute, Hamit Koryürek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute of the match Thierry Emry FC got a corner. Nitra FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Krzysztof Wojno ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Krzysztof Wojno got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jerônimo Maranhense quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 19 played minutes Thierry Emry FC got a freekick which was hit by Jörgen Siöberg. Thierry Emry FC's Henri-Patrick Widdepenninck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Thierry Emry FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 28 minutes, Şakir Salti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thierry Emry FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şakir Salti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jerônimo Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şaban Saraçoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Şaban Saraçoğlu in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerônimo Maranhense saved Nitra FC from getting behind. Jerônimo Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şaban Saraçoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Şaban Saraçoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the game, Şaban Saraçoğlu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jerônimo Maranhense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Şaban Saraçoğlu was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 56 minutes, Williams Ferrari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nitra FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Williams Ferrari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Jerônimo Maranhense as he didn't even see the shot coming. Nitra FC's Matheus Pitta was substituted for Oliver Veentjer. Nitra FC's Jerônimo Maranhense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Nitra FC from getting a goal against them. Jerônimo Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şaban Saraçoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Nitra FC's Jerônimo Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şaban Saraçoğlu in the 91st minute of play. Nadir Ulusu charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nadir Ulusu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
